- Employees donate time and resources to improve Cheesequake State Park for visitors -
MATAWAN, N.J. (JUNE 13, 2013) – As part of its ongoing effort to support local environmental causes, iCIMS, Inc., a leading provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) talent acquisition software solutions for growing businesses, is proud to announce that over 50 iCIMS employees took part in a team effort to clean up nearby Cheesequake State Park. The day-long event is part of a series of volunteer programs at iCIMS, called iGIVE Back, where employees are encouraged to step away from their desks and devote a day of service to help the local community.
Participating employees donned their signature iCIMS’ red t-shirts and rolled up their sleeves to clean up trash left behind from hikers along the trails and in the picnic areas as well as taking on some manual labor like mulching by the nature center, and restoring damaged trails along the lake . iCIMS CEO, Colin Day, launched the iGIVE Back program in 2006 to promote the protection of local green spaces, support local environmental causes, and help foster a positive, team spirit among iCIMS employees.
“Our organization has a strong commitment to preserving the local environment,” said Day. “Not only do we encourage our employees to help give back and conserve, we encourage our vendors to engage in paperless billing and our customers to take advantage of our paperless processes when using our Talent Platform software.”
iCIMS’ corporate responsibility program encourages employees to volunteer up to two work days each year, with full pay, to participate in company-wide events like park clean-ups and beach sweeps. iCIMS also has a fund match program for employees who donate to local charities like the Raine Foundation, 3Degrees, and Earth Share of New Jersey.
